Good Morning Barbecue! And some day when I take to the floor, the world’s gonna wake up and see, barbecue and me!

Good Morning, Baltimore is the feel-good opening number of the musical Hairspray, sung by the optimistic female lead, Tracy.
Good morning Baltimore
And some day when I take to the floor
The world’s gonna wake up and see
Baltimore and me!
And what could be more feel-good than a fantastic breakfast – cooked on the grill! It’s perfect for a sunny weekend brunch, and is a great way to start the day!
Prepare the bacon and mushroom skewers by weaving bacon around whole mushrooms (or halved mushrooms if they’re particularly large). I used metal non-stick skewers for this. You could add additional seasoning if you like or keep them plain.
For the scrambled egg (because, yes, you CAN cook it on the barbecue!), wrap the base of a metal pie plate in kitchen foil, and spray the inside with non-stick spray. Mix together eggs, a little heavy cream, salt and pepper, and pour them into the hot pie plate on the grill.
We used ready-cooked sausages so they just needed warming through. Throw a sliced bagel down on the grill to lightly toast, add some ketchup – and your meal is ready!
