The Bus From Amarillo is from the musical The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. “Whorehouse” opened in 1978 and was made famous with the 1982 movie starring Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds. During a production of the show in 2000 where Keith played the Governor of Texas and I was choreographer, The song “Bus From Amarillo” was variously renamed as “Bus From Armadillo” and “Bus from “Amaretto”. So for our first theatre-themed drink on the site, please enjoy this cocktail!
